They have been calling non-stop ever since they got the cell number (how, I dont know). This is great that we can post about this however, nothing has been able to be done to stop them from continuing calling and harassing people. Any suggestions on how to effectively stop this type of harassment?

We receive this pre-recorded call at least three times daily - "Hello, this is Erica. Do not be alarmed...". Okay, give me a break. I have on several occasions pressed "2" to be removed from their list. Also, I have pressed "1" to be connected to the representative and when I am connected, I ask them to remove our business number and I am rudely hung up on every time. This takes up valuable time in my day and I am requesting that "Miss Erica" be shut down!

Offering Credit Cards
About a month ago, I was getting 1-2 calls a day from this number, pre-recorded message about lowering Visa or Mastercard. I pressed 2 to be removed. It said allow up to 3 business days, but even after that I continued to get calls. After pressing 1 to speak with someone, I was hung up on. This happened a few times. I finally stopped getting calls until today. I pressed 1 to speak to someone, they "transferred" me to the "correct department" (read: hung up on me again). So annoying.

This was an unsolicited call on my company cell phone. When I informed the female entity on the other end of the phone that I was wanting to know exactly WHO this was and WHY they were calling my phone, she abruptly hung up on me.
I was called a dumb ass by a young man when he refused to give me the name of his company. He was trying to get me to give him information about my credit cards. THIS IS A SCAM. Do not give any information to these people.

This telemarketer keeps calling trying to do a credit card scam. When you press one for an operator, it hangs up, when you press 2 to be removed from the list, it doesnt remove you from the list. I am on the do not call list for three phones that this number is dialing.

Call claiming to offer important information on your "credit card". Of course they are not calling about a specific card, it is a scam. They called my cell phone! Do not answer these and please file complaints.
This is the third call. The first time I asked to speak with a manager after asking to be removed from the list. The person disquised their voice and when they were caught laughed. I asked again to speak with a manager so again the person disquised their voice. When they were caught, yet again, they laughed and hung up. When the person was asked to identify his company he refused. Additionally, the person gave me two different names (first Dan then Mark) as being his name when we briefly spoke. The second time the number called I hit "2" to be taken off the list. This time I didnt even bother to answer the phone. This needs to stop!

I received unwanted solicitor call from this number on 8-19-09. I live in Oregon and have an unlisted number, how did they get my number?
So after reading just about everyones complaints about this number, I decided to do a bit of research do to the fact that I was sure if you tell someone to take you off theyre calling list they have to. What Ive come up with is that there is indeed a law stating that if you ask a company to take you off theyre call list they have to, whether or not you are on the "do not call" list or not. Also you can file a complaint about this number at "www.donotcall.gov" and they are suppose to look into it and if necessary file charges against the company or number. Also if it isnt an actual company you can file a complaint with the police department for harassment. People cant just call your number and do what ever they want to you. Received call at work on a fed govt phone from 228-209-9560. Recording has some mumbo jumbo about various credit cards. So I press 1 to speak to a representative and have the number removed from their list. I say "you need to remove this number". I talk to Betty who says she works Debt Services ( I have heard from them before possibly a company out of OH) in NJ. She wanted personal info but I just kept asking for company info. She claimed she would transfer me to a Loan Manager and got my name and number (used Smith, John and the number they had dialed) then the phone went dead.

Youre only making the problem worse by offering it.
I answerd the call it was about lowering my intrest rate on my credit card. I pressed 1 to talk to agent and they hung up. Next time im gonna just pop off with a dirty mouth so she has something to hang up for. This pisses me off i get rid of one caller finaly and now another.
