Should I File a Complaint?
If you are getting harrassing calls from this number, the answer is yes.
By filing a complaint, you are making the nature of the calls known to more people, including the caller. The more complaints a certain number receives, the more exposure it gets. This helps make the calls stop by reducing the efficiency of the caller's operations. Also, when a certain number receives a lot of complaints, we investigate the matter and report the number to the proper authorities.

Caller asked for my daughter. When I said "she was not available, can I take a message", caller hung up without another word. This telephone crap is starting to turn me into a revolutionary. I will find a way to get even with these bastards ... I dont have that much longer to live, so, I may as well do some good for society as I check out.
Sunday March 07, 2010 8:50 AM EST. YES this number 831-506-5700 is a number used via (ISPs) Internet phone service providers. Primarily, it is used by SKYPE. But I have seen other ISPs associated with this number. It is also a great mis-use channel for collection agencys who know they should not use this sort of non verifable calling system.
Caller, "Justin" said it was not a "solicitation call" - but to see if I was eligible for new energy rebates. I told him that I considered it a "solicitation call" and to put me on his do not call list. He said he could only do that if I listened to what he had to say. I asked for his company phone No. and he said it was outgoing only. I repeated my request to be put on the do not call list and then hung up. My guess is that this is a "for rent" outgoing line that is rented to various dubious businesses to try and avoid the "harassing" status - which it is anyway!!
Im a little Freaked out because lately Ive been talkin to random peolple over the Internet and now Im startin to get calls from this number. Im nervos cuz I didnt know there where so many complaints about this number
This guy called and states that hes calling to collect funds on behalf of fallen law Enforcemtn Agents... He was eager to take my credit card over the phone (which I didnt give) and claims that he would mail out a pledge form to take my donation of $27.00. I was not able to call this guy back... DONT fall for this.
I have been receiving calls from them for over a year now. They call once or twice a month and ask if I want to refill my weight loss medication. I have never done business with them and I dont take weight loss medication. I have told them to take my name off their list and not to call me again. They continue call even though I am on the do not call list.
Keeps calling but doesnt leave a message. Cannot connect through when I return the call..... goes to an immediate busy signal. I suspect this is a cloned phone number and not the actual number who is calling. Although my number is on the DNC list, I receive 10-15 of these types of calls every day, many of them as simly "unknown caller." I wish there was a way to block unwanted calls on a landline phone.
These jerks call from time to time saying that there is a civil complaint against me, and that i owe some non-existant credit card debt. This is a SCAM. Try to call back, and cant get through.. They say they work with a law firm.
